Furthermore, export controls on high-bandwidth InfiniBand switches to China create a geopolitical overhang. The U.S. government restricts exports of any product that can be used for military AI. Spectrum-6, with its enhanced capabilities, will almost certainly be restricted. This deprives NVIDIA of a massive market and accelerates Chinese development of alternatives (e.g., Huawei's HCCS).
